This is a very stout skid plate that bolts on easily to the V-Strom 800 DE. It also comes off easily for oil changes. I would recommend hitting the countersunk hardware along the bottom of the plate with Mud Blaster or something similar to make it easier to dig mud out of the hex bolts and remove them when you need to.
