Received my racks this morning after only 3 days. Installation was quick, less than 30 minutes, and no surprises. I purchased Tusk Olympus panniers with quick-release plates and found that the plates fit well with the addition of two (2) 8mm holes drilled in each plate to accommodate proper positioning of the for and aft L brackets. The x plate is accommodated quite nicely dead center in the Outback rack. Have not traveled with them yet, but anticipate no problems.
