Outback Motortek Tool BoxÂ
A universal matte black textured, lockable tool box. Designed to fit and keep all your tools in one place, strategically mounted on the (exhaust opposite side) inner part of our pannier racks. You can also mount it on the outer side or even on our rear luggage rack, if you prefer to do so, according to your own needs and luggage setup.
The Tool Box is compatible with ALL Outback Motortek pannier racks and comes ready to be installed.*
*If you have our Standard Pannier racks, you’ll need an ‘X-Bracket’ mounting platform. Choose ‘Yes‘ on the ‘X-Bracket’ option below, or get it here.

The toolbox itself is great. Nice and solid. My only issue is mounting. I have not installed it yet due to mounting issue with my panniers but that is nothing against Outback Motortek.

It’s a little hard to Mount the tool box with the Mosko Pannier bags, limits where you cam mount. All the people I dealt with were great. You guys git a great company.

I installed this upside down on the right side on my ’22 Honda CB500X because access looked very restricted from the turn signal bar on the left. The Outback luggage rack is asymmetrical and the tool box worked better for me on the right.

Toolbox is well made, but too small. I should have read the size before buying. My small tool role is too wide and too long. I looked at the small Mosko’s tool roll and it’s too long also. So I will store other items in the toolbox. The mounting plate is another matter. Pictures show a Mosko backcountry panniers mounted with the toolbox on this site. I had to make some pretty serious modifications to the mounting plate to make that work.

Thanks for your feedback. The tool box does not require any modifications to be fitted with the Mosko Moto Backcountry wedge.
